As of May 15, more than 2,100 volunteers have given more than 13,000 hours in service to the district. Based on a dollar value per hour of the time given by volunteers, District 6 has received $301,178 in services from volunteers this school year.

The presidential honorees are:

• Pauline Hedglin, who received the Silver Award for volunteering 501 hours at Meeker Elementary School.
• Jason Encinias received the Bronze Award for working 474 hours at Scott Elementary School and Winograd K-8.
• KC Dopler received the Bronze Award for working 402 hours at Meeker Elementary School.
• Ryan Akers has worked 296 hours at Meeker Elementary School and received the Bronze Award.
• Natalie Miller receivedthe Bronze Award for working 267 hours at Scott Elementary School.
• Erich Martin has worked 265 hours at Centennial Elementary School and received  the Bronze Award.

“We appreciate the time and effort our volunteers make in order to help our students and our schools,” said Superintendent Dr. Ranelle Lang. “The work they perform is a great benefit to all of District 6 and we thank them for giving their time to us.”
